Christopher Shields
Christopher was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri and spent much of his childhood surrounded by both his city and farm families. Annual family car trips throughout the country, holiday dinners, visits with grandparents, games with cousins, exploring the city or fishing the distant ponds on the family farm gave him a lot of stories to tell. As a Boy Scout he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout and at university he achieved degrees in both Physics and Interior Design. Christopher had an initial career as an engineer in high-tech before changing his life to pursue design. Moving to San Francisco, he worked in product sales for the industry-leading Kneedler-Fauchere showroom and was surrounded by the best craftspeople, artisans and wild talents of the local interior design scene. Christopher worked with a number of notable interior designers before starting his interior design firm in 2014. Now residing in Colorado, he serves on the board of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art (ICAA) and is an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). He uses his midwestern charm as well as his analytical and creative sides of his brain to think outside the box and effectively collaborate with architects, builders and artisans. Christopher’s love of the comfortable home, the traditions of family and the fun of bringing people together to celebrate life inspires him to design expressive and tailored homes for his clients that allow them to tell their unique story and create their own traditions.
